== History ==

Dinnerplate's presence was first sensed as a series of nightmares experienced by [[Limp-Asparagus Lad]], [[Fourth Wall Lass]], and [[Retcon Lad]], as he tasted their dreams to see which was the angstiest. This done, he set up a ruse, taking hostages so that he could lure Retcon Lad in.

He revealed that he lived off the emotional suffering of controlled mutants, and that his previous conquest, [[Abbadon]], was dying, so that he needed a new one. Retcon Lad resisted him until L-ALad and FWLass came to fight. When Dinnerplate tried to feed on Retcon Lad during the battle, Retcon Lad opened up the floodgates of Nicieza's Sledgehammer of Angst™, overloading him with too much angst, causing him to be ripped apart in an explosion of darkness and light, leaving nothing behind.

Dinnerplate has not been seen since, but since the explosion included the special effect he used when teleporting, he'll likely return.

Evil, manipulative, gloating. Often shadowy and cryptic. Glories in his victims' pain.

== Powers and Abilities ==

Can control other mutants, influencing them mentally as well as transforming them so that fanged mouths appear on their hands. Feeds on the angst of controlled mutants. Can project cold, enervating shadowstuff (actually life-draining nega-energy from the [[Antimatter Universe of Thhhppp]]). Teleportation, possible [[lurking]] powers.

Dark purple skin, spiked hair, an elephant's trunk for a nose with a prehensile hand on the end.
