Weevil Dendrite's mother discovered her ability to foretell the future using baked goods after a carefully-crafted Bundt cake revealed that Mrs. Meyers was sleeping with the milkman. Believing it to be the work of the devil, she swore off baking. But her son's power came at an early age, and he discovered that the jigglings of jello were the key to events to come!
By the time he graduated college, he had placed enough careful bets to parlay these powers into a substantial fortune. He became an advisor to trenchcoaters, but longed to be one himself, and went off on a quest for a Weirdness Magnet[1].
