History
Ramaj and Deft lived together in the mysterious Room-Continuum. Deft saw the coming of a force that was trying to control Access, and when Ramaj realized this would upset their dinner plans, they went off to Chicago to face it. They joined the big gathering of trenchcoaters[1], and ended up sucked into one of the Universal Office's Pocket Bureaucracies.
Personality
The thoughtful kind, but does violence to soothe his nerves. Definite social anxiety.

Highly educated and knowledgeable, including about matters spiritual. Skilled at convincing people of things and excellent at bullshitting. Has a photographic memory.
