History
Ramaj Singh has done a little professional thieving for various governments and a little monster chasing. He "retired" from monster chasing when the organization he was a member of was destroyed by attack from without and within (though not before being cursed with a Weirdness Magnet). He's since carried on the work part-time, mostly as a form of self defense. His studies of monsters broadened, and he ended up in the habit of stealing information wherever he could get it from whoever wasn't looking. To maintain the flow of information, he befriended a young, recently fired executive...[1]
By mid-1993, Ramaj and Deft lived together in the mysterious Room-Continuum. Deft saw the coming of a force that was trying to control Access, and when Ramaj realized this would upset their dinner plans, they went off to Chicago to face it. They joined the big gathering of trenchcoaters[2], and ended up sucked into one of the Universal Office's Pocket Bureaucracies.
Personality
Has a lot of paranoia, nurtured by the intelligence agencies he's worked for, and sleeps lightly. The thoughtful kind, but does violence to soothe his nerves. He much prefers getting other people to do the dirty work, but if you want a job done right...
Smokes a Turkish blend so nasty that even he prefers to smoke it outdoors. Drinks on occasion, but rarely to excess.
Powers and Abilities
Highly educated, and chock-full of sometimes-practical occult knowledge. A good thief, a decent shot, and fairly knowledgeable in the ways of dispatching monsters and the undead. Knows a bit of prestidigitation. Skilled at convincing people of things and excellent at bullshitting. Has a photographic memory.
Appearance
A thin middle-aged man of Indian descent with prematurely grey hair. Prefers tweed trenchcoats.
