Tales of Continuity was a right-angles-to-the-Looniverse Classic LNH series written by Jeff Barnes.

The enigmatic Thoreau[1] and his rival, the equally mysterious Champion, battle the forces of the Nine, striving to stave off the apocalypse which draws ever closer. A straightforward title, billed as "a gothic high fantasy with a touch of superheroics thrown in for good measure" (a kind of predecessor to the Lunaverse approach to storytelling).

The series can be read on the Eyrie Archive here.
