In conclusion, it's safe to say that giant robots, much as we might wish otherwise, would probably never work out in the real world.
Which is why it's such an awfully good thing that this story isn't set there.
Team M.E.C.H.A. #63

Team M.E.C.H.A. is a Superguy series about high technology and the people who use it [1], by Chris Meadows[2], which crossed over with Dvandom Force for the Grand Tour (and a few other netfiction worlds for good measure).

Plot

In the world of 000SUPERGUY, Mike, who lives in southwestern Missouri, finds an abandoned military base in the Ozarks chock-full of cool mecha. He and his sister Summer, a fan of superheroines, combine their interests and form Team M.E.C.H.A.! After staging some battles to get attention, they meet up with a group of mech-weilding freedom fighters fighting to free their town from the diabolical Doctor Zwarghoff. They join Team M.E.C.H.A., now a full fledged hero team. There follow many giant robot battles and crossovers with other Superguy series, and an LNH one to boot!

Where to Read

The series can be read on the Superguy Archives. The Superguy Webpage has an extensive synopsis and list of arcs, including various spinoffs and crossovers. The first six arcs have been collected in TEB editions which can be read here or on Chris Meadows's web page.

Footnotes

  1. Every issue had a punny subtitle: "A Tale of High Technology and High [Blank]."
  2. With fellow Superguy writers Mason Kramer and Lawrence Brown collaborating on many issues, and Dave Van Domelen among others co-writing the Grand Tour crossovers.
