History
The young man who would become Question traveled the world gathering knowledge. He acquired a myriad of diverse abilities, became acquainted with numerous people (including a couple of avatars and a few extraplanar denizens), and was given the gatecoat Nightshard.
When The Netromancer attacked the NTB, he came to the big gathering of trenchcoaters in Chicago, but arrived late enough to miss being sucked into the Universal Office with the rest of them.
