History
Invisible-Intangible-Inaudible Lass was once Lisa Banks, a sixteen-year-old girl from a rich family with a wonderful boyfriend. But after having her picture taken at Acapulco by a subtly unnerving man, she began to feel sick and found her image in the vacation pictures was gradually fading away. In time, she herself disappeared completely. She phased through into the basement of the one place where she hoped she could get help: the headquarters of the Legion of Net.heroes.
There she made friends with the ghost of a dead cat named persia, who helped her to learn about the LNH, but they had to part when persia returned to the land of the living for her seventh life. She also encountered a number of other bizarre metaphysical beings, such as the Parenthetical People.
Living in the LNHQ but unable to interact with any of the Legion, she developed a hopeless longing for Cheesecake-Eater Lad. She inadvertently saved his life by narrating to herself during the response to his death issue, moving the pronoun referent so that consumer safety advocate Ralph Nadir died instead.[1] With the power of True Love (tm) she saved CEL from Incoherent Writer Man's dimension on the Edge of Oblivion. But he would never know of her or what she'd done for him.
But not long after she met the Perfect Stranger, who let her know that while she could not interact with the waking world, she could enter into other peoples' dreams, and hoped to speak with Cheesecake-Eater Lad and let him know her true feelings one day.
When the Vector clones attacked the LNHQ, IIIL found to her shock that one of them could touch her! She got dragged into the highly complicated events of Birth of a Villain, during which she met Fourth Wall Lass, one of the few people who can percieve her.
<FWIV stuff goes here>
Personality
Lonely and lovelorn, desperate for human contact.
Powers and Abilities
She is invisible, intangible and inaudible, unable to communicate with the outside world. However, in her original miniseries, she discovered she could enter into other peoples' dreams, though they wouldn't remember her when they were awake.
Her powers allowed her to nullify Vector's "Legionnaire's Disease," unaffected by the information congestion created by her clones as they just passed through her.
By Authorial fiat, attempts to cure Invisible-Intangible-Inaudible Lass of her condition are almost guaranteed to go Horribly Wrong, as it would change her fundamental nature as a character too much.
Appearance
None.
Relationships
Longed after Cheesecake-Eater Lad, and developed a weird kind of relationship with him in his dreams.[2]
Fourth Wall Lass is one of the few other beings who can percieve her; they became friends over the course of Birth of a Villain. Later on she got to know the supersensitive Curious Lass as well. Miss Translation also knew who she was because, in her words, "we have author equal."
She and the Intangible Legion seem to be unaware of each other's (non)existence.
