The Terrible Ones are ancient demons imprisoned beneath the Earth by the power of Michette Duclos's mystic lunchbox, which they originally created. They made a deal with Dennis William Marker to summon one of them into the LNHQ to face them, stealing the lunchbox. Michette's friends gathered together a group of LNHers and fellow travelers (the cast of Net.heroes on Parade) to oppose them.

They are tall, long creatures of unliving stone with burning eyes. There are twelve of them, and every one looks exactly the same.

They dwell within a spiritual labyrinth. Among their servitors are demonic fetuses known as the Neverborn and a gigantic ram (known simply as "the ram") which requires the price of its summoner's soul.
