comp.sources.unix was a Usenet newsgroup dedicated to distributing source code for Unix programs.
During Looniverse Adrift!, Lord Ebon secretly guided the unanchored Looniverse toward comp.sources.unix, where it became a land of robots. He intended to use the code-based power the newsgroup held to manipulate the loose natural law of the Looniverse and, through it, control the entire Internet.
The newsgroup was shut down in 2006 due to lack of relevant traffic. The archives can still be viewed here.
