History

The young man who would become Question traveled the world gathering knowledge. He acquired a myriad of diverse abilities, became acquainted with numerous people (including a couple of avatars and a few extraplanar denizens), and was given the gatecoat Nightshard.

When The Netromancer attacked the NTB, he came to the big gathering of trenchcoaters in Chicago, but arrived late enough to miss being sucked into the Universal Office with the rest of them.

Personality

Incurably inquisitive.

Powers and Abilities

Question has a mastery of several martial arts forms, some low-to-medium power spellcasting abilities (dependent on the proper material components), and mystical abilities including ability to speak to animals, sort of a radar-sense deal, and near-unbelievable sneakiness. He has an instinctive knack for getting into large amounts of high-intensity trouble. He speaks several languages.

The interior of his trenchcoat, Nightshard, serves as an extradimensional gateway. Question stores many of his arcane weapons and artifacts there, alongside the intermittent technological device. He's been very, very reluctant to try using it for teleportation. It also has minor cloaking abilities and appears to be marginally alive.

He is usually accompanied (though he would rather not be) by an enormous hellhound, Obsidian, who followed him out of Hell and appears to be wholly devoted to him.

Appearance

His trenchcoat is black, occasionally randomly fading to grey, then deepening to black again, and he has a fedora to match.
