rec.games.frp.dnd is a newsgroup dedicated to the game where you simulate being a fantasy adventurer by rolling a ridiculous number of dice. With D&D having had a strong impact on the collective nerd imagination, many elements from rec.games.frp.dnd have found their way into the Looniverse. Munchkin Man originates from here, as do the giant mutant hamsters who live on the planet Nox.
It is still active though it mainly seems to be used for, ah, posting game binaries? It can be read here, or on your local newsreader.
