rec.games.frp.dnd is a newsgroup dedicated to the game where you simulate being a fantasy adventurer by rolling a ridiculous number of dice. With D&D having had a strong impact on the collective nerd imagination, many elements from rec.games.frp.dnd have found their way into the Looniverse. Munchkin Man originates from here, as do the Giant Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Far Beyond Mars.
It is still active though it mainly seems to be used for, ah, posting game binaries? It can be read here, or on your local newsreader.
