In the real world, Antikythera is a small island off the coast of Greece, on the edge of the Aegean Sea between Crete and Peloponnese. It is known for being the place where the wreck was discovered that held the Antikythera mechanism.
On Earth-20, Antikythera was an advanced pre-Hellenic civilization that developed an Internet even more powerful than ours. The psychic feedback from a massive flamewar destroyed them and gave birth both to the Salamanders and to the Flamebroiled Force.
