History
Weevil Dendrite's mother discovered her ability to foretell the future using baked goods after a carefully-crafted Bundt cake revealed that Mrs. Meyers was sleeping with the milkman. Believing it to be the work of the devil, she swore off baking. But her son's power came at an early age, and he discovered that the jigglings of jello were the key to events to come!
By the time he graduated college, he had placed enough careful bets to parlay these powers into a substantial fortune. He became an advisor to trenchcoaters, but longed to be one himself, and went off on a quest for a Weirdness Magnet[1]. He ended up at the big gathering of trenchcoaters in Chicago[2] and was inducted into the NTB by LJC. He was sucked into the Universal Office with the rest of them, and ended up freeing The Netromancer before the adventure ended and he returned to a relatively mundane life.
He has returned a number of times in response to divinations of apocalypse, and was one of the 58.5 trenchcoaters that helped Occultism Kid cast the Spell of All Spells to send him inside the Book of Deus ex Machinas[3].
