The Three Day Lull is a Classic LNH Chaotic Add-On Cascade, written by Ken Schmidt, Martin Phipps, Dave Van Domelen, Stephane Savoie, Steve Hutchison, Jeff McCoskey, Mike Escutia, Andre Condon, wReam, and Gary St. Lawrence. It was originally posted in July and August of 1993, on alt.comics.lnh.

History

Tsar Chasm had been bedeviling the Legion for a while, as part of his bid to improve the world by gaining control of it. But his positive goals had lead to a certain combination of tension and comfort between him and the LNH...

In Real Life, there was a period of three days when there were no posts on alt.comics.lnh. (Yes, those truly were the days.) Ken Schmidt, whose Writer Character Tsar Chasm was, decided to blow off a bit of steam by writing a story about being bored...

Summary

The master planner is stuck without anything to do! The superb villain goes to hang out and screw around with the heroes! Radioactive Dude gets confused! Pliable Lad gets a book recommendation! Invisible Incendiary gets the slip on Ultimate Ninja! Personalities bounce off each other in the adventure of— well, not a lifetime, but surely at least three days!

Legacy

Pliable Lad #7 had him following up on that book recommendation, and Passionfishing showed... well, showed what Pocket Man and Organic Lass had been up to during the cascade.

This series was a new step in Tsar Chasm's character arc – realizing that there was a simple, interpersonal happiness missing from his life. This lead to the appearance of Kid G, Tsar Chasm actively teaming up with the LNH in Looniverse Adrift!, and everything that came out of that...

The WikiLull cascade, which launched from the old LNH Wiki going down (leading to this one going up), took inspiration from this storyline.
