rec.arts.manga is a Usenet newsgroup dedicated to all aspects of Japanese sequential art.
Manga Man, as one might expect, maintained his base of operations there for quite a long time. One denizen of the group came to Net.ropolis to attack it and impress Manga Man, and was beaten off by the cast of Misfits.
During Looniverse Adrift!, while the Looniverse was careening through the Usenetverse, it ended up in rec.arts.manga. Net.ropolis became a shining techno-city under attack by giant robots.
The group maintains a low but consistent level of traffic to this day, and can be read here.
