Alter Ego: Unknown

Primary Writer: Rob Rogers
Status: Member of the Surreptitious Seven and the Legion of Net.Villains

History

Plummet first appeared as a magenta-colored blur attempting to crush Easily-Discovered Man. Like an annoying relative or Jehovah's Witness, he tends to show up without warning or explanation, dropping from a building, cliff or airplane and leaving a smoking crater wherever he lands. EDM claims that Plummet was once his sidekick; how or why their partnership ended has not been revealed.

During one of his many attempts to squish EDM, Plummet was responsible for the apparent death of the super-villain Deathstocker.

During the Infinite Leadership Crisis, he became a member of the Surreptitious Seven, the team of super-villains led by the criminal mastermind Mynabird, and took part in the destruction of LNH Headquarters. When the Surreptitious Seven was absorbed into the Legion of Net.Villains, Plummet followed, eventually becoming part of the team headed to the Ultimate Black Hole...

At one point, Plummet was apparently a member of the Easily-Discovered Band, on acoustic triangle. By all reports, he rocked out.

Personality

Rarely, if ever, speaks. Stolid, but quick to anger.

Powers and Abilities

As his name implies, Plummet falls at a tremendous rate of speed. He is also able to increase the falling speed of objects in which he is standing, such as elevators or airplanes.

In space, he seems to be able to choose any object to fall towards, no matter how far away, and can accelerate beyond the speed of light.

Appearance

Short, squat, heavy as a small car and dressed in a magenta bodysuit, regardless of the weather. Usually moving quickly downward.

Relationships

Plummet has an obsessive hatred of Easily-Discovered Man. He suffered a memorable defeat at the hands of You're-Not-Hitting-Me-Hard-Enough Lad.
