History

Long ago, a cosmic being known as Yououghtto, The Looker swore an oath with the Living Moderator, to seal away Defacto and E.R.N.I.E.. As part of his oath, he was sealed away within a dome in the Gray Area of the Moon. However, Defacto escaped his imprisonment; but the Looker was still bound...

In-story, the Looker first showed up as the guardian of the Ring of Retcon. He gave it to the Time Crapper to counterbalance the Cosmic Plot Device that had fallen into the hands of Y-Plex Burp; both were lost in the battle. In time, the Looker recovered a depowered Device, and summoned the Legion of Substitute Net.Heroes to recharge it and use its power to retrieve the Ring. But when they did, he brainwashed them, revealing that he was going to combine the two to free him from his oath! Unfortunately, the Looker himself had been manipulated by Defacto, and only Continuity Champ and RetConan stopped the evil editor from gaining ultimate power. Afterwards, the Looker was re-sealed, guarding the Ring and the Device.

Since then, he has only been seen as a mental projection, observing moments of cosmic import...
