Divine is the daughter of God himself, and sister of Wotana (the daughter of Satan). In 1997, she came to the rescue of Nick Starless from the Dark Conclave, and summoned Supperboy and Holy Roller to form a short-lived hero team, Supperboy and the Potaters. She and Nick fell in love, with his rooted human perspective complementing her own semi-omniscient divine one.
