Special Containment Procedures

Unity is to be contained using the "God Trap" mainframe located within the LNHQ, which exists to form a stable focus for her consciousness whenever she manifests. The "God Trap" will be periodically purged in order to create a controlled dissolution of Unity's consciousness, rather than allowing it to painfully dissolve and reform at random.

Description

Unity is the gestalt consciousness of Looniearth's Internet.

Some time ago, the various programmers of the LNH, such as wReamhack, Multi-Tasking Man, W.I.L.B.U.R. and Renegade Programmer became aware of the potential existence of Unity and the threat she would pose. The internet is full of malware – much of it in the Looniverse created by actual net.villains such as The Master of the Net, Vector and Acton Lord. The pervasiveness of this malware would naturally cause the internet's intelligence to skew Evil with a capital E; the parts of her that come from Acton Lord would make her especially unstable.[1] W.I.L.B.U.R. described her personality as "usually Evil, often female, and frequently lascivious," driven by the Internet's natural tendency toward the erotic.

Since Unity is the internet itself, anything and everything that is connected to the internet is a part of her. This means the scope of the threat she represents is potentially apocalyptic.

To contain the threat she represents, the LNH's programmers created the "God Trap" mainframe. The mainframe was programmed using the brain patterns of W.I.L.B.U.R.; thus, he considers Unity in some sense his daughter.Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag [2] [3] Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many

  2. Considering bits of her come from Vector and Acton Lord, we're not even going to try plotting out what her full family tree would look like.
  3. Because there haven't been a whole sequence of political and cultural events since then which would make the manifestation of the interenet even more unstable and violent... right?
