History

He first battled the LNH as part of the short-lived villain group called the Netter Liberation Front working with PrimeClone Acton Lord. He created a base for them in the hidden Antarctic wasteland of the Savage Place. Shortly afterward, Onomato-Puweeah Person sought his aid to find the Rung of Revamp. Lagneto brought her to the Island of Glak and led the NLF into combat with the LNH. They were defeated and captured.

Lagneto aided several net.heroes from afar in stopping the rampage of the monstrous EraserHead. When Lagneto was reunited with his daughter, Pizza Girl, he tried to convince her that he wasn't as bad as she thought he was. He soon decided that her friends in the LNH would never accept him as anything other than a supervillain, and decided to accept Captain Coredump's offer to have him take over as leader of the Brotherhood of Net.Villains.

According to Frost and Teenfactor #4, Lagneto forced Polybag Person to fake his death so his lover Jennifer Frost wouldn't be distracted from honing her powers. This may or may not still be in continuity.

<other stuff happened>

When the West Coast Brotherhood of Net.Villains came together, Lagneto became leader – for about five minutes, before flying off to Do Something about net.ahuman rights. He ended up getting intensely depressed about his failures and holed up in Asteroid L, refusing to talk to anyone and binge-watching TV shows on his laptop. Several net.villain groups have approached him since then and he's turned them all down.

In the alt.ernate future of LNH2, <a lot of other stuff happened>.

Personality

Always certain in the rightness of his own actions, Lagneto acts as a "freedom fighter" for paranormals who are rejected as freaks. He has chosen to strike out at a world that he believes knows nothing but violence. He experiences emotions intensely, including anger and depression. His speech pattern alternates between a majestic Shakespearean supervillain-y pattern, and more casual speech.

Powers and Abilities

Able to create lag. This enables him to fly, exact violent death, slow down time for others and even stop time Dio Brando-style, appear to have super-speed himself, and so on.

Appearance

Old enough to have fathered Pizza Girl. Wears a crimson and purple costume with a cape.

Relationships

Pizza Girl is his daughter, and Vincent Contini-Morava is his brother. I think.

Awards

In 2002, Lagneto won Accies:Favorite Villain – and strangely enough, in 2003, he won Accies:Favorite LNHer (probably due to LNH2 shenanigans).
